What is the Bot?
The Bot is a way of intergrating between Discord and Google Spreadsheets which allows you to run a competition specificially designed for Hill Climb Racing 2.
Sure you can do all this in a spreadsheet yourself, however if you are looking for a clean way to manage and report on data.
Note: HCR2 Daily Bot is not affiliated with Fingersoft in any way and does not interface directly with the game, you will need to manage the data.
The Bot has had some success with the FS-GP 2, in that it handled 3500 racers over the course of a few weeks. At the end of the competition, there is little to no discussion about the bot! This is as it should be as all the talk should be about the competition and not the tools used to manage it!
Promote your Business the Right Way
I have been doing this as a hobby to add a bit more fun to the game. The bot started after witnessing the FS-GP 1 and how difficult it was to manage all that data. The goal was to be able to support something of that level.
It started off small with a very few command to interface directly with google spreadsheets. Now it has a whole range of racer command aswell as officials management command.
- Racer management
- Time entry
- Reporting
- Training
- Test Servers
- Event Setup
- Spreadsheet Support
- Bot usage support
Services

Give racers the option to enter a series with just one click. They will be informationed of the in-game friends they need to add with a direct message from the bot.
Racer Result Entry
Given there is no way to interface with the game directly, this allows the racers to simple enter their best results as they achieve them, making it simpiler to validate all the data.
Testimonials
Some other numbers:
– 1991 lines of code customised for the GP
– 822 racers only reacted to the and then not complete the registration by entering their name
– 9106 results entered in total (this is only the end result entered)
– 177 queries about results which required action. Of those the majotiry were relating to different time in game to what was recorded.
About the BOT Developer
I’ve been working in IT for about 20 years. I have been involved in every level of product development and support.
I studied Computer Science at University where it involved various languages, of which only bash is still in use! All the others are no longer used by anyone, but they did give me a good start into where I am now.
After university I joined a company which had a very good match with what I studied. I have since been developing those learn skills to apply into my real life working solutions.
The bot started after witnessing the FS-GP 1 and how difficult it was to manage all that data. I did reach out to the organises to offer help at the time, but given how busy they were, it wasn’t responded too. After the competition ( I was happy to finish in the top 400 ), I went back to my team and started a small daily competition. This then grew from 20 racers a day, to 4 servers with upwards of 300 racers per day all using the bot. The goal was always to support the FS-GP, and in Oct 2020, it did just that. As of right now (Nov 2020), it is on 19 servers and 8000 racer profiles.
It’s always a good idea to know who you’re working with, and I don’t want to be just a name on the internet or voices on the telephone. You can chat to me in Discord or even see me in game in AUSNZ.
